11th Annual African American Children and Families Conference

Friday, February 18, 2022 - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Learn from a diverse group of leading presenters addressing critical issues impacting Black children and their families, particularly in light of the impact of a pandemic and ongoing discourse regarding social justice and equity.  Being hosted by the College of Education as a virtual event this year, the conference carries the theme "Embracing African American Children and Families' Unique Qualities." The focus is a strengths-based model to improve and advance quality of life through education, support and advocacy.  Theodora Pinnock, MD, Meharry Medical College, is among a slate of leading speakers planning to present.
