The annual Economic Diversity & Inclusion Summit, hosted by the University of Northern Iowa and Grow Cedar Valley, will be at Hilton Garden Inn in Cedar Falls on October 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., followed by a networking social. This year's keynote speaker is Kate Hightshoe, the assistant vice president and diversity officer for QCR Holdings, Inc. Dr. Kyle Christiason, who founded the inaugural UnityPoint Health LGBTQ+ clinic in Cedar Falls, will also be presenting. Breakout sessions include topics such as doing DEI every day, mental health issues in the workplace, welcoming new populations to our community and intentional DEI.
