The Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) is an academic research competition developed by The University of Queensland (UQ), Australia. The 3MT® competition challenges graduate students to summarize their research in three minutes or less to an audience.

Join Dr. Gabriela Olivares, Dean of the Graduate College, and Dr. Wendy Hoofnagle, Associate Dean, for Coffee With the Deans! 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Zoom. This is a drop in event and an opportunity for casual conversation. Feel free to bring any questions you may have about the Graduate College!

TAGS will allow you to meet with representatives from the various graduate programs UNI has to offer, so you can discover if graduate school is right for you. Our staff will be present to answer any questions about applications, funding or how to set yourself up for success.

Improve your speaking skills and use of slides and other visual aids. Instructor Sadé Barfield will prepare you for conference presentations, thesis/dissertation proposals and defenses, the Grad College's 3MT competition and so much more!

 

Monday, October 3, 2022 - 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm

This workshop will provide instructions for formatting your thesis document to meet the Graduate College requirements. It is open to students at any stage of the process but may benefit those 1-2 semesters away from completion the most. Kathryn Wohlpart will be available to answer any questions and provide an overview of the submission process.
