For students new to UNI this spring who currently live on-campus, room selection begins for the 2018-19 academic year. Students may reserve their room in any hall and select a meal plan. Priority reservation dates were distributed to students in January. Students can check the date and time of their individual priority reservation date by logging-in to the housing & dining contract.

"Women as Makers""Women as Makers"

A UNI Permanent Art Collection Exhibition co-curated by Dr. Elizabeth Sutton and Gallery Director Darrell Taylor. This presentation seeks to make visible some of the objects in the UNI Permanent Art Collection made by women artists and elevate contributions of women as makers. Note, the Gallery will be closed Mon., Jan. 15 for the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Free and open to the public.

An exhibition by Mary Griep, retired Associate Dean of Fine Arts at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN representing nearly two decades of work inspired by 11th and 12th century sacred architecture from around the world. Among the large-scale artworks on display are Notre Dame Cathedral of Chartres (France), the Hindu temple of Angkor Wat (Cambodia), the Mayan temple El Castillo (Mexico), and the artist’s newest work, the Baptistery of Saint John, in Florence (Italy). On Wed., Jan. 17 at 6:00 p.m., Griep will present a lecture about her work in Kamerick Art Building, room 111. An opening reception will follow.

This event is free and open to the public.
