The "2019 Department of Art Faculty Exhibition" is a formal presentation of recent accomplishments by the faculty in the UNI Department of Art and includes painting, drawing, printmaking, graphic design, sculpture, ceramics, photography, mixed media, performance and installation art as well as art history scholarship. The opening reception begins at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16 in the Kamerick Art Building’s south lobby. All events are free and open to the public.

Visiting artist Gregory Hand will present an organ recital. Hand is associate professor of organ at the University of Iowa. Prior to this appointment he held the position of University Chapel Organist at Northwestern University, where he also taught in the Music Theory department. He was awarded the Doctorate of Musical Arts degree from the University of Michigan, where he studied organ with James Kibbie and harpsichord with Edward Parmentier. This event is free and open to the public.

Observatory ShowObservatory Show
Thursday, October 17, 2019 - 9:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Learn about the objects visible in the night sky, and gaze at them through the computer controlled telescope at the Earth and Environmental Sciences Observatory. This event is free and open to the public; meet before 9 p.m. to get to the observatory (near the polar bear). No late admissions will be allowed; no food or drink and no cellphones or other electronic devices can be used during the observatory visit.
