Mary Ann Bolton Undergraduate Research Award

The Mary Ann Bolton Undergraduate Research Award celebrates the extraordinary research, scholarship and creative work of UNI's undergraduate students. These awards are given to students who demonstrate excellence in research using library resources conducted in support of an undergraduate paper or project carried out under the guidance of a UNI Faculty member or approved mentor. You can find the submission process and eligibility guidelines at https://library.uni.edu/about-us/mary-ann-bolton-undergraduate-research-award. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 9.

Tea Party for Wishes

The Wishmakers are teaming up with the Tea Cellar! Anyone is available to purchase a selection of teas from the Tea Cellar or Coffee from Fat Cup Roasters and a portion of the proceeds will be given to the Wishmakers to grant a wish for a child with a Chronic Illness. Just follow the link and be sure to select "Northern Iowa WIshmakers" to choose from a selection of hand-picked teas to be delivered to you or picked up at the store! If tea isn't your thing but you're still interested in helping, there is a donate button as well with a downloadable PDF for tax exemptions!

This program supports the university's value of cultivating a caring and diverse campus community that values respect for all people, the open and free exchange of ideas, and responsible and ethical behavior. This program is not an LGBTQ+ 101 training, but instead an opportunity for those interested in supporting our community.

UNI Export Controls Officer Kyle Fogt will outline what faculty and staff need to know about federal export control regulations, which govern the “exporting” (sharing) of information, equipment, or software with individuals from other countries. Those who travel internationally, are engaged in sensitive technical research, use special equipment, and/or have international students or collaborators are especially encouraged to attend. You will learn which “exports” are controlled and how to guard against violating these laws and regulations, as well as what the consequences may be if you do so.
