Lifelong University Course - Where Does My Food Come From?

Tuesday, September 14, 2021 - 10:00 am to Tuesday, September 28, 2021 - 10:00 am

Gardening, cooking nutrition, sustainability and fun all rolled into one class.   Join us for this three session course which will teach participants about growing their own garden, discuss our current food supply system, alternative food systems, shopping local options and how to stretch local food through Iowa winters.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage in growing produce with hands on activities in the garden each day.  We will discuss nutrition ideas for healthy living by exploring lesser known produce items and garden favorites and by cooking various dishes for lunch.

Classes are: Tuesday, September 14, 21 and 28th from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm

Location: Creekside Harmony Education Center
