Becoming an Equity Minded Educator

Becoming an Equity Minded Educator

Wednesday, October 13, 2021 - 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Equity refers not just to equal access, but to equal outcomes among all racial and ethnic student groups in institutions of higher education.  This course is intended to prepare educators in adopting an equity minded approach to our daily practice. Using a systemic lens, educators will see and name equity gaps that perpetuate inequities in education and are invited to engage in practices designed to close equity gaps in learning. This session is designed to give participants a chance to really dive into the topic and engage in some meaningful self assessment and action plans.
