With midterms lingering in the air, the Graduate College wants to give our students some stress relief with an Afternoon Break! The purpose of this event is to give graduate students a chance to meet one another and have fun! Grad school can be a stressful time, and one way to build positive/stable mental health practices is through community. Join us in Maucker Union Ballroom A on Tuesday, November 9 th , 2021 from 1:00-2:30 p.m. for free pizza, games, and community. This event will be an open house, come and go as you please. No registration required, so feel free to show up, bring some friends, and have fun!

Brief Description: Connecting Through Improv will highlight how you can use improv techniques to connect with people in a variety of settings, including counseling and caregiving. Improv’s fundamental techniques emphasize focusing on the present, accepting another’s point of view, and developing a meaningful dialogue together. Tap into improv to advance your interpersonal communication skills — and maybe even have some laughs along the way. This presentation is appropriate for EVERYONE!
