"Too Bright for Our Infirm Delight"

In the Mary Haskell-Hansen Room. A UNI Permanent Art Collection exhibition co-curated by Art History instructor Josh Hainy and Gallery Director Darrell Taylor featuring female-identifying artists, indigenous artists, and artists of color such as Dawoud Bey, Russell T. Gordon, Marion Greenwood, Lee Krasner, Doña Rosa (or Rosa Real Mateo de Nieto), Melanie Walker, Marguerite Wildenhain, and Betty Woodman. All events are free and open to the public. We encourage the wearing of masks and social-distancing while in the Gallery. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday and by appointment.

“2022 Department of Art Faculty Exhibition”

Opening Reception: 5 p.m., Wed., Jan. 26, Kamerick Art Building (KAB) south lobby. The exhibition is a formal presentation of recent accomplishments by the faculty in the UNI Department of Art and includes painting, drawing, printmaking, graphic design, sculpture, photography, video, mixed media, and installation art as well as art history scholarship. All events are free and open to the public. We encourage the wearing of masks and social-distancing while in the Gallery. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday and by appointment.

BSU: Soul Food Dinner

Sunday, February 13, 2022 - 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

The Soul Food Dinner is held as a way to provide Soul Food to the campus community. Soul Food is a specific type of food or cuisine traditionally prepared and eaten by African Americans of the Southern United States. Many of the various dishes and ingredients included in "soul food" are also regional meals. The style of cooking originated during American slavery years. This event will be held by the Wesley foundation, collaborating with “The Gift of Life Church” in Waterloo, IA. Together, the two will highlight African American Christian Life and food culture dating back to slavery years.
