Green Dot Overview for Staff and Faculty

Monday, April 18, 2022 - 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm

Staff and faculty are invited to attend this overview workshop where they will learn about Green Dot, a new bystander intervention and prevention program at UNI focused on addressing issues of sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking. This workshop will teach the key principles of the program and provide skills for how to intervene in situtions of interpersonal violence and change the culture to prevent these situtions from beginning. Deadline to register is April 15 at 3pm. Please contact Isabella Perksen, the graduate assistant for Green Dot, at greendot@uni.edu to register or for more information.

Guest Artist Recital: Daniel Rowland, tuba

Monday, April 18, 2022 - 6:00 pm

Visiting artist Daniel Rowland will offer a tuba recital. Rowland is an active educator and performer. Currently, Dr. Rowland is Assistant Professor of Low Brass & Instrumental Music Education at University of Wisconsin - Platteville, where he also performs with the faculty chamber group Ensemble Nouveau. Previously Dr. Rowland was Lecturer of Tuba/Euphonium at Valdosta State University, where he was also principal tubist of several regional orchestras. This event is free and open to the public.
