International Education Week (Nov 14th-18th) is a fantastic opportunity to highlight what UNI is doing to create more diverse and globally minded individuals and recognize our international community and efforts on campus. International Education Week promotes international education efforts at UNI as well as highlighting our International and diverse community here on campus and in the larger Cedar Valley Community. Green Dot Faculty and Staff OverviewGreen Dot Faculty and Staff Overview

Green Dot is an NISG-sponsored bystander intervention program focused on gender violence prevention. The goal of Green Dot is to decrease the likelihood of sexual assault, stalking, dating and domestic abuse. The Green Dot Student Overview training session is a presentation that introduces basic elements of Green Dot while using skill building activities to keep participants engaged. The basic elements of the presentation are to provide a new/different framework of bystander intervention, to create campus-wide interest and participation, and begin the process of changing behaviors. This Green Dot Overview is open to any faculty and staff.

Dr. Vagharsh Mkhitaryan, Research Scientist at the University of Regensburg, Germany will be presenting on Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLEDs): A model system for room-temperature quantum spin physics.
After briefly discussing the physics behind the OLED functionality and its basic optoelectronic properties, he will focus on the magnetic resonance studies of spin-dependent pathways of electron-hole bound state (exciton) formation and exciton-charge carrier quenching processes, which are pivotal to the OLED functionality.
