International Education Week (Nov 14th-18th) is a fantastic opportunity to highlight what UNI is doing to create more diverse and globally minded individuals and recognize our international community and efforts on campus. International Education Week promotes international education efforts at UNI as well as highlighting our International and diverse community here on campus and in the larger Cedar Valley Community. To celebrate, the Office of International Engagement fills an entire week with incredible programs, speakers, workshops, and events! Check out our programming for this year below! Kajtazovic is the author of the children’s book War Changes Everything: My Life Leaving Bosnia, a firsthand account of her experience as a child during the Bosnian War. Kajtazovic is also a former member of the Iowa House of Representatives.

Observatory ShowObservatory Show

View the evening sky at the UNI Observatory. Constellations and other interesting objects in the night sky will be pointed out, and objects may also be viewed through the UNI telescope. Meet before 8 PM outside of MSH 137, near the polar bear. The event starts promptly and there is no admission for late arrivals. Electronic devices, such as cameras, smart phones, etc, must not be used during the show. No food, or drink is allowed. This event is free and open to the public.
