"Through the Lens of a Panther" Project

Submit a photo from campus for “Through the Lens of a Panther,” Green Dot’s new project. Staff, faculty and students are encouraged to submit a photo that they have taken on campus and answer, “What does community look like to you?” Please submit 2-3 sentences describing the photo’s meaning to conclude your submission. Green Dot will be collecting photos now through Sunday, April 30. For additional information or submission, emails can be directed to greendot@uni.edu.

Drop off locations are Panther Pantry, Gilchrist 117, Gilchrist 002, Hall of Flags in the Curris Business Building, and lobby of Nielsen Fieldhouse. All donations go to the Panther Pantry for the UNI Community. All donations are accepted, but the current items needed are listed on the website attached.

The Holocaust & Ukraine: Riva’s Story, Through Anna’s Eyes

The Holocaust & Ukraine: Riva’s Story, Through Anna’s Eyes

Tuesday, April 25, 2023 - 12:00 pm

To commemorate the 2023 Days of Holicaust Remembrance, this event tells a story of Holocaust survival and how that story was written by a Ukrainian teenager while she herself was a refugee fleeing the Russian invasion of her homeland. It also tells the story of how a class of sixth-graders in Iowa became involved in illustrating the book in which the story was published.
