Using SciENcv and ORCID for NSF and NIH proposals

Learn how to use SciENcv and ORCID to prepare Biosketch and Current and Pending Support documents required for NSF, NIH, and other federal agency proposal applications and how these tools can help streamline the process. NSF will require the use of only SciENcv for the preparation of these forms by October 2023. This brief Zoom session will go over how to set up an ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) and how to use SciENcv (Science Experts Network Curriculum Vitae) to create, certify, and delegate the forms.

Main Street Madness

Main Street Madness

Thursday, September 21, 2023 - 5:30 pm

The madness of preseason college basketball returns to downtown Cedar Falls when UNI's Main Street Madness returns on Thursday, September 21.

Main Street Madness starts at 5:30 p.m. with a social hour followed by the basketball teams arriving at 6 p.m.  The Panthers will take the court for some skill challenges and public interaction. 

Fans will be treated to a live DJ, giveaways, facepainting for kids, and much more. Show up early for your chance to get your hands on a special edition rally towel (while supplies last), courtesy of First Bank.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the event. Fans will get a chance to engage with student-athletes and coaches from both the men's and women's basketball programs.

Main Street Madness

Main Street Madness

The madness of preseason college basketball returns to downtown Cedar Falls in September as UNI's Main Street Madness returns to the streets on Thursday, September 21.

The free event is a one-of-a-kind fan experience in downtown Cedar Falls and is sponsored by First Bank, with additional support from Pixel Labs and SnapSports of Western Wisconsin and Eastern Iowa.

In partnership with Community Main Street and River Place Plaza, all vehicular traffic will be restricted on State Street near River Place Plaza, allowing fans to freely walk to preview and interact with the 2023-24 UNI men's and women's basketball teams on a court in the middle of downtown Cedar Falls.

Main Street Madness starts at 5:30 p.m. with a social hour followed by the basketball teams arriving at 6 p.m. The Panthers will take the court for some skill challenges and public interaction.

Rohde will perform a cycle of six solo violin sonatas and partitas by Johann Sebastian Bach, combined with a new composition by Elliott Miles McKinley titled Betwixt Bach. Observatory Show

Observatory Show

Thursday, September 21, 2023 - 9:00 pm to 10:00 pm

View the evening sky at the UNI Observatory.   Constellations and other interesting objects in the night sky will be pointed out, and objects may also be viewed through the UNI telescope.  Meet before 9 p.m. outside of MSH 137, near the polar bear.  The event starts promptly and there is no admission for late arrivals.  Electronic devices, such as cameras, smart phones, etc, must not be used during the show.  No food, or drink is allowed.  This event is free and open to the public.
