In September the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning will launch “AI for Humans,” a monthly forum - equal parts presentation & open conversation - that invites faculty to examine how we are navigating life & work & learning with AI. The aim for the first session is to consider the broader context(s) in which our ChatGPT challenges have arisen and will play out. In October the topic will be more narrowly focused on "the art of the prompt", and in November the topic will turn to matters of “security, policy, and academic ethics.”

When war broke out in Ukraine, eight high school exchange students found themselves stranded in Iowa and unable to return to their home country. These eight individuals are now first-year students at UNI.
Join UNI President Mark Nook at this open house to hear from the students, view works from artist Scott Ross and listen to remarks on the exhibition. Light refreshments will be served.

We're planning an evening of exceptional performances by UNI faculty and students, featuring a wide range of works, composers and performers aimed at capturing the uniquely collaborative and engagement-driven spirit of the School of Music. The concert will include performances by the UNI Wind Ensemble, Northern Iowa Symphony Orchestra, UNI Suzuki School, UNI Opera, Jazz Band One and Concert Chorale, with featured faculty artists Korey Barrett and Sean Botkin.
