Designing Assignments You Want to Grade

Thursday, February 21, 2019 - 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm

Are you tired of getting assignments from students that aren’t what you expected or are especially tedious to grade?  This session focuses on strategies for creating assignments that are most beneficial to students and most useful to you.  We’ll talk about what makes assignments “effective,” (re)visit how to create a “transparent” assignment, and explore ways to make your grading more manageable.  If you’d like, bring an assignment with you that you’d like to revise.
