For the 14th annual UNI Dance Marathon Big Event, hundreds of students will gather in Maucker Union on campus to support children with life-threatening illnesses who have, or are currently, being treated at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital. During the Big Event, dancers will remain standing from 10AM to 10PM and are not allowed to drink any caffeine. This symbolizes the fight that the miracle kiddos we support go through. They don’t get a break from their illnesses, so dancers at UNI DM’s Big Event don’t get to take a break from standing. In addition to dancing, there will be games, inflatables, main stage entertainment, and a room for dancers to celebrate the lives of the miracle kiddos still with us and remember the lives of those who are gone. Our miracle kiddos and their families are also present at the event for dancers to interact with during the day. This twelve hour event is concluded with a Power Hour full of dancing and a reveal of the total amount raised by UNI Dance Marathon throughout the year.

UNI Dance Marathon's Big Event is open to any and all community members and we would love to have you visit. Community members can enter the Big Event for a donation anytime! Come visit the Maucker Union on UNI's campus and see what over 300 college students are dancing for.
