Academic Freedom and the First Amendment
Greg Greubel, attorney at the national nonpartisan First Amendment organization, FIRE, will speak on "Academic Freedom and the First Amendment” on Wednesday, January 28, at 4 p.m. in Sabin 002. Greubel and FIRE have been at the center of efforts to defend speech and academic freedom on university campuses.
Greubel is a UNI philosophy graduate, class of 2012, and is a senior attorney at FIRE in Philadelphia. His bio can be found on the FIRE website.
The event's co-sponsors include United Faculty, the UNI Center for Civic Education, the Department of Philosophy and World Religions, the Department of Communication and Media, and the Department of Political Science.
