Science Education Update Conference
The UNI Science Education Update Conference is a one-day conference for current and future teachers. The conference focuses on issues and topics related to K-12 science and STEM, featuring keynote session, breakout and workshop sessions, exhibits, and access to instructional resources and strategies that can be implemented in the classroom. Dr. Chad Heinzel, Professor of Earth and Environmental Sciences from the University of Northern Iowa will be the keynote speaker. Dr. Heinzel will share teaching experiences from Iowa to Italy over the past twenty years.
Iowa Science educators of all grade-levels, informal educators, AEA consultants, administrators, faculty and others who care about PK-12 Science education are welcome to attend. Iowa classroom science educators may request substitute reimbursement to attend. March 30th, 2026 is the deadline to register.
