Final Thursday Reading Series Featuring Jeffrey S. Copeland

Jeffrey S. Copeland is the author of the literary nonfiction work, Plague in Paradise: the Black Death in Los Angeles, 1924. He is also a Professor of English in the Deparment of Languages & Literatures.

Open mic signup begins at 7 p.m. (bring your best five minutes of poetry, fiction or creative nonfiction). The open mic begins at 7:15.  Featured readers take the stage at 8 p.m. As time permits, there will be a Q&A session following the reading. Books by featured readers and other regional authors will be available for purchase.

The Final Thursday Reading Series is a collaboration of Final Thursday Press, the Hearst Center for the Arts, and the University of Northern Iowa College of Humanities, Arts, and Sciences. Coffee is provided by Sidecar Coffee Roasters and cream is provided by Hansen’s Farm Fresh Dairy.
