The Hungarian approach to learning and teaching mathematics

Ryota Matsuura, North American director for Budapest Semesters in Mathematics Education (BSME), will speak on the Hungarian pedagogy, which emphasizes problem solving, creativity and communication. He will dig into fun mathematical tasks that illustrate this pedagogy. He will also talk about a unique study abroad program intended for students who are interested in mathematics learning and teaching mathematics.
