Chelsea Wagenaar is the author of the poetry collections The Spinning Place, winner of the 2018 Michael Waters Prize, and Mercy Spurs the Bone, winner of the 2013 Philip Levine Prize. Mark Wagenaar is author of three award-winning poetry collections, including the Saltman Prize-winning Southern Tongues Leave Us Shining. A UNI alum, he is presently an assistant professor of English at Valparaiso University.

The University of Northern Iowa Women and Gender Studies Department, Gender and Sexuality Services, Northern Iowa Feminists, Black Hawk County NOW, and UNI Proud welcomes the community to the 2ndAnnual Cedar Valley Women’s March. Due to Covid-19, we are hosting it as a virtual discussion that will explore the intersections of feminism in the United States and Cedar Valley.
A moderated panel, taking place virtually from 11 am to 12 p.m. on Saturday January 30th, will address the intersections of feminism. Panelists will include various community members with keynote speaker Belinda Creighton-Smith.
