When chatGPT was launched in 2022, it took the world by surprise. Different industries started thinking and exploring how to use this new technology in their contexts.  In academic institutions, one of the discussion topics was the idea of academic integrity and how this new technology could change the game in this area. In this session, we will explore why students decide to engage in academic dishonesty behaviors, how the AI detection tools work and what the future looks like in terms of assessments in higher education.
