Join UNI Local Food Program and Rooted Carrot Co-op Market for Celebrate Local Food on WEDNESDAY, MARCH 10th, 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Live music from Kristin Teig Torres, trivia, and the opportunity to meet and learn from several local food producers including Fitkin Popcorn, JÓIA FOOD FARM, Sidecar Coffee Roasters, Solstice Farm, Whistling Thistle Farmstead, and Yellow Table Farmwho produce everything from lamb, meat, poultry and eggs, vegetables and herbs, mushrooms, popcorn, and coffee! For those interested in learning more about the Rooted Carrot Co-op Market a short informational session will start at 8 p.m.

Brett Gourley will be defending his MS thesis on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. Brett's thesis title is: "ARTHROPOD FAUNA OF POCKET GOPHER (GEOMYS BURSARIUS) BURROW SYSTEMS". Brett's defense will occur in McCollum Science Hall, Room 037. Jeff Ditzenberger is a men's mental health advocate and founder of the Talking, Understanding, Growing, Supporting (T.U.G.S.) program that is centered around helping people who are struggling with their mental health. Jeff uses his past experiences with his own mental illness and trauma to support others and instill hope into their lives.

Alec Glidden will be defending his MS Thesis. His defense is scheduled for Monday, April 5, 2021 at noon. His defense will occur virtually due to COVID-19.
