Tunnel of Oppression

This event will aim to focus on the variety of oppressions of African Americans from slavery to discrimination.  Each classroom will display scenes of oppression of all sorts. Each classroom will have a real life reenactment putting the student in the scene to give them a true experience. The Tunnel of Oppression rooms will tentatively include Wall of Mirrors Room, To Those We’ve Lost Room, Slave Room, Hair Room, Check Your Privilege Room, Microaggressions Room, Intersectionality Room, and a counseling room for debrief sessions
