The Wishmakers are teaming up with the Tea Cellar! Anyone is available to purchase a selection of teas from the Tea Cellar or Coffee from Fat Cup Roasters and a portion of the proceeds will be given to the Wishmakers to grant a wish for a child with a Chronic Illness. Just follow the link and be sure to select "Northern Iowa WIshmakers" to choose from a selection of hand-picked teas to be delivered to you or picked up at the store! Second day of the 2021 Pre-Service Teacher STEM Conference, where pre-service teachers preparing for careers in elementary and secondary education will focus on STEM learning and teaching practices. Entitled "Be Inspired: STEM in Your Future Classroom," the event is hosted by University of Northern Iowa College of Education and the Northeast Iowa Regional STEM Hub. Pre-service teachers and faculty in teacher education programs from across the state are expected to join in to two days of keynote, breakout and workshop sessions led by state and national leaders in STEM education -- along with virtual field trips, networking and hands-on sessions for home or campus.

UNI Export Controls Officer Kyle Fogt will outline what faculty and staff need to know about federal export control regulations, which govern the “exporting” (sharing) of information, equipment, or software with individuals from other countries. Those who travel internationally, are engaged in sensitive technical research, use special equipment, and/or have international students or collaborators are especially encouraged to attend. You will learn which “exports” are controlled and how to guard against violating these laws and regulations, as well as what the consequences may be if you do so.

Stryker is founding executive editor of TSQ: Transgender Studies Quarterly, author of Transgender History: The Roots of Today’s Revolution, and co-director of the Emmy-winning documentary film Screaming Queens: The Riot at Compton’s Cafeteria.
