During these same dates we will also continue with the UNI Permanent Art Collection exhibition titled “The Earth Is a House of Stories.”

More than a million people in the United States have HIV, and many of them don’t know they have it.
The only way to know is to get tested. Testing is free, quick, and confidential.

On December 1, 2021, FREE HIV testing will be available from 12-2 pm at the UNI Student Health Clinic or from 4-6 pm at Waterloo Center for the Arts, 225 Commercial Street, Waterloo. A $10 gift card will be provided to those that get tested!

On-campus screening of the award winning documentary Storm Lake. Screening will be followed by a Q&A with documentary subject and UNI alumnus, Tom Cullen (Economics, ‘17).  Open to the public. 

Short synopsis of Storm Lake:   Pulitzer prize-winning journalist Art Cullen and his family fight  to unite and inform their rural Iowan farming community through their biweekly newspaper, The Storm Lake Times — even as the paper hangs on by a thread. Twice a week, they work as civic watchdogs to protect their hometown and the legacy of credible journalism, at large.
